To get an API key, sign in with Google or GitHub at app.pdfconversionapi.com. The key is free, and you don't need to write to us. For anything else, pick an address from the table below. Emails are read by Zeel Shekhaliya.
API keys
The key page at app.pdfconversionapi.com is self-serve:
- Your key is shown once, when it is made. We keep only its SHA-256 hash and last four characters, so we can't show it again.
- "Replace the key" makes a new one and revokes the old one, which stops working within about a minute. If you think a key has leaked, replace it there. If you can't sign in, write to security@pdfconversionapi.com and we will disable it.
- The same page shows this month's usage, and it is where you delete your account. Deleting the account deletes the key, and it stops working within about a minute.
The Free plan allows 250 conversions a month, files up to 10 MB and 1 conversion at a time. Billing is not open yet. For higher limits before it opens, write to sales@pdfconversionapi.com.
Which address to use
| What you need | Write to |
|---|---|
| Trouble signing in or with your key, errors you get from the API, and questions about a conversion | support@pdfconversionapi.com |
| Higher limits before billing opens, volume beyond the largest plan, custom limits, contract terms and invoicing | sales@pdfconversionapi.com |
| A vulnerability you found (the disclosure policy covers scope and safe harbor), a key you think has leaked, or a security questionnaire for a vendor review | security@pdfconversionapi.com |
| Seeing, correcting or deleting your personal data, and questions about the Privacy Policy. You can delete your account yourself on the key page. | privacy@pdfconversionapi.com |
| The Terms of Service, a countersigned copy of the Data Processing Addendum, legal notices, and whether a kind of data is allowed under the Acceptable Use Policy | legal@pdfconversionapi.com |
| Someone using the API in a way the Acceptable Use Policy forbids | abuse@pdfconversionapi.com |
| Copyright notices and counter-notices. The copyright policy lists what a notice must include. | copyright@pdfconversionapi.com |
Response times
We don't promise a response time yet. The Support row of the table on the pricing page shows the response times we plan for each plan once billing opens.
When you report a problem
Include these details so we can find and reproduce the problem:
- The
x-request-idheader from the response. Every API response has one. - The time of the request, with its time zone. UTC is easiest for us.
- The endpoint, for example
POST /v2/convert/docx/to/pdf, and the parameters you sent. - The status code and the
Messagefrom the JSON body. - A file that shows the problem, if you are allowed to share it. Don't send files that contain other people's personal data unless we ask for them.
Never send us your API key. We store only its SHA-256 hash and last four characters, so we have no use for the key itself and will never ask you for it. If you need to tell us which key you mean, give its last four characters.
